Lord, let me get bikes, trucks and bats.
Lord, let me get dolls, barbies and all that.
Lord, let my dad get the tools he may need.
Lord, let my mom get the stuff she want's and see's.
Lord, let my sister get the clothes she likes to flaunt.
Lord, let my brother get the cars that he wants.

That is a wishful child saying,
This is a hopeful parent praying.

Lord, help me put socks and shoes on their feet.
Lord, help me buy the christmas meat.
Lord, help me put clothes on their backs
and keep them a place to "hit the sack"
Lord, help me get the little things that they seek
and maybe a few little things that they can keep
Lord, help this Christmas be a happy one
for my two little daughters and my two little sons

Lord, help me love them more each day
each and everyone in their own special way
Lord, help me see the good, not the bad
and keep my temper and not get mad
Lord, help me solve their problems as they appear
Lord, help them have a better next year
Lord, help me give them lots of love and reason
to make this holiday a nice Christmas season.
